Josh Bernstein represents employees from every walk of life. Whether litigating on behalf of individual employees or negotiating contracts for CEOs, Josh brings a particular brand of zealous advocacy incubated on the Lower East Side for four generations. While other firms use a “volume” business model, taking on far too many cases at a time and putting in just enough effort to reach a mediocre settlement, Josh plans on taking each and every case to trial, and only settles when it is in your interest.
Josh is available to represent clients in federal, state and appellate courts, administrative proceedings (such as before the EEOC), and arbitration. He represents clients with a wide variety of claims, including discrimination, sexual harassment, severance disputes, and wage-and-hour suits. He represents management only when he believes the case has no merit. He is also available to represent management in less adversarial contexts, such as the creation and maintenance of anti-discrimination policies and contract negotiations.
